Customers report mixed experiences with service quality.
Visited this store to buy a cycle for my kid and also picked up a few accessories. The sales representative was impatient throughout and showed little interest in explaining product details — not a great start. One of the accessories (₹250) broke within a couple of days when I removed it exactly as the representative had instructed. I went back to the store simply to highlight the quality issue — not to blame anyone, as I understand it could have been a faulty piece. What was unacceptable was the response. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the representative immediately blamed me for mishandling. Only after I expressed my displeasure did they offer a replacement — which by then I chose to decline, given how the situation was handled. The product quality may be fine in general, but the attitude and customer service are a serious problem. Being blamed rather than heard is not something any customer should experience. I've decided not to return — even for the cycle's servicing. Hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and works on training their staff on basic courtesy and patience.
I am revising my earlier positive review based on my post-purchase experience. During the sale, the staff were polite, responsive, and explained things well. However, the quality of interaction changed completely after the sale, and post-sale service was poor and unreliable. Bike purchased: Polygon Premier 5 (hydraulic brakes). From delivery itself, the rear brake had much lower tension than the front. When reported, I was told the bike had to be left for a full day. Since I live far away, I requested servicing within 1–2 hours if I brought it at an agreed time. This was agreed, but after I reached the shop, I was told it would take 4–5 hours and must be kept overnight. I left the bike and collected it later via Porter at my own cost. After about a week, the rear brake issue remained exactly the same. When informed again, I was once more told the bike must be left for a full day, which reduced my confidence in their service. At the time of purchase, I had clearly asked for a more upright posture and was told a stem riser could be added. Later, during servicing, I was told this was not possible due to short brake cables. However, another local bicycle service shop installed the stem riser easily, confirmed cables were sufficient, properly bled the brakes, and fixed the screeching noise caused by brake rubbing. After the second shop’s work, all issues were resolved. My experience was that sales communication was good, but post-sale technical support was not dependable. Buyers should be cautious and independently verify service commitments.
Even after 6 months of purchase, I have not been able to ride Montra cycle for even 20 days. Reason: my cycle continues to make weird screeching noise (seems to me that they sold me a model with worn out parts) I reached out to the manufacturer and they were kind enough to send a replacement of disc brakes but that doesn’t solve the problem and the noises continue. Who can think about riding a bicycle in public that makes such a loud noise? See the video for reference See the video
