Sardarji offers affordable North Indian cuisine with mixed reviews on food quality.
Was a great fan of this place earlier, for its taste and reasonable pricing. Visited this recently for Dinner, but not completely happy with the food experience. Tried the butter naan, tandoori rooti, butter chicken, chicken curry and Egg Pakoda. Roti's & Egg Pakoda were Okay, chicken curries was not great. Pricing was Okay. Overall Could have been a little better for the earlier aura that this place carries. Hope they'll look into this. Would recommend for an economical food experience
The food was alright. I've ordered chicken rice and Chicken kebab... The rice was stinking of uncooked egg. The chicken was too hard. The Masala for the chicken that they gave was also very bland. Wonder how people are giving such nice reviews. They charged ₹140 for the fried rice and ₹100 for the chicken kebab and ₹5 for salad that I didn't ask, it was put on the table as soon as I got there. They're just taking a plate of salad and leaving it on the table and later charging ₹5 per plate. They should mention that they'll be charging for salad. Not so great place, unless you want to eat bland and hard food and be happy with it.
Finding that perfect local spot that nails authentic North Indian flavors and treats you like family can be tough, especially in a dense area like HSR. But tucked away in this neighborhood is a true culinary winner that delivers on both food quality and hospitality—a must-try for any gravy lover looking for the real deal. Nestled slightly within the HSR neighborhood, the restaurant isn't instantly visible from the main roads but is easy enough to locate with a quick map search. The seating setup is comfortable, primarily accommodating groups of four, but they also wisely have a dedicated section that can house larger families. Full marks here. The staff is professional, prompt, and quick with service—absolutely no complaints. A special shout-out to the owner lady who is incredibly polite and genuinely friendly, adding a personal touch that enhances the entire dining experience. The quality of the food is excellent. You can instantly sense those rich, authentic North Indian flavors in every dish. We sampled three different gravies, along with naan and lassi, and every single item was superb. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, and crucially, each gravy had a distinct flavor profile, which is a true sign of good cooking. The pricing is perfectly at par with current market rates, so you get exactly what you pay for. The quantity could perhaps be slightly more generous, but it’s by no means stingy—two main dishes are easily sufficient for three people. If you prioritize genuine North Indian taste, quick professional service, and a friendly atmosphere over a prominent main-road location, this restaurant is a clear winner. Highly recommended for a satisfying and flavorful meal.
If you're looking for budget-friendly menu options and don’t mind a simple ambience, this is a great place to visit. The service is quick, and everything we ordered was served promptly. Taste-wise, it may not be the absolute best, but the food is decent and satisfying. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for giving treats without hurting your wallet.
