Simple Maharashtrian food served in thali-style metal dishes at low tables.
Purnabramha offers authentic Maharashtrian cuisine with mixed reviews on taste.
I recently visited Purnabramha for their unlimited Maharashtrian thali. The Solkadi was the star of the meal, very refreshing, perfectly balanced, and truly enjoyable. However, the overall thali was a mixed experience in terms of taste. Some dishes were good, but a few lacked the rich, authentic flavours you would normally expect from traditional Maharashtrian food. The ambience, presentation, and overall visual appeal are nicely done, but I feel the restaurant could focus a bit more on flavour and consistency rather than aesthetics. Overall, it was a decent experience with a great Solkadi, but there is definitely room for improvement in taste.
Must visit for authentic Maharashtrian Food in Blore!! Ambience: Staff is very welcoming, dressed in traditional maharastrian attire Serving with smile. Seating option - Baithak & Tables Food: Felt like at home :) Truly relished every bitr of Puri + Aloo Bhaji with Basundi. Puran Poli was a clear winner, This was so good, we packed 2 for next days lunch as well. Their menu is quite exhaustive we just had the above ones and misal pav which was also good. Just that we like more of puneri taste. This spot is now in our go to list, as we still have to try other dishes like thalipeeth, varan bhath. Must must visit if you crave for good maharstrian food in bangalore.
If you are looking for some Maharastrian dishes, do visit this pace at HSR. Place is nicely done up. Quality & taste of food is good. You can try their wide variety of delicacy & Maharastrian Thali's.
If you’re looking for a taste of Maharashtra, Purnabramha is often the go-to spot for those seeking an authentic, vegetarian experience that feels like a home-cooked meal. Based on customer experiences and the menu's core strengths, here is a detailed review focusing on your specific interests: The Snack Staples: Vada Pav & Misal Pav • Vada Pav: This is arguably one of their best-rated items. Unlike the greasy street versions, their Vada Pav is praised for its "textbook" execution—a lightly flavored batata vada with a crisp exterior, served in fresh laadi pav. It usually comes with a generous rub of kanda-lehsun (onion-garlic) chutney and choora (crunchy batter pearls) for that authentic Mumbai texture. • Misal Pav: If you like heat, this is for you. The Misal here is known for its flavorful, spicy gravy (rassa/kat) topped with fresh farsan and onions. Reviewers note that the gravy can be slightly thin or "runny" compared to some Kolhapuri versions, but it packs a significant punch. It's often served as part of their breakfast menu or as a standalone snack. The Sweet Treat: Shrikhand Puri • Shrikhand Puri: Often a highlight of their festive thalis or available à la carte, the Shrikhand at Purnabramha is frequently cited as a "meal saver." It is thick, creamy, and not overly sweet, pairing perfectly with their hot, puffed-up Puris. For many diners, this is the standout dessert that justifies the visit. A Few Tips for Your Visit: • Spice Levels: Be warned—their green chili chutney is famously spicy! If you aren't a fan of high heat, ask them to keep it on the side. • Timing: They are popular for breakfast and weekend thalis, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours. • Check Locations: While they have branches in cities like Bangalore and Pune, it’s always good to check the specific outlet's recent ratings, as service consistency can vary.
