Mangala Restaurant

Meals are available, but everything is already served and set in bowls. They call it an aesthetic hotel, but honestly, it’s just a normal Kerala-style restaurant serving fish fry and Kerala meals. Portions are limited — even the rice is based on their choice, not ours. The food isn’t hot, everything seems pre-prepared, and for that kind of setup, the pricing feels too high.

Well I just had tea and some banana fritters here. Taste was good. Service is quick and you feel comfortable. Interiors were simple but the wall art was vibrant. I could see lots of students , school kids and athletes frequenting the place even on a Sunday afternoon. Cleanliness was maintained. Food might taste fresh in the morning.

The aloo samosas are great. They run out before evening, so it's best to get them fresh in the afternoon at 12ish. Because by 4, they're all out of aloo samosa. And the badam drink is a refreshing drink if you enjoy a cold milk drink. The best part is they're within 40 rupees. A samosa would cost you 15 and the drink is another 25. So you're sorted for a quick morning snack during tea or switch to a cold badam drink if you fancy that. 🙂 The shop is inside the BDA Complex, you'll have to get into the complex to access this gem 💎

It's a Kerala restaurant. The food is decent, and the service is also quite great. The atmosphere is... Kinda "meh, but okayish". Would recommend this place for decent Kerala meals. The Kerala poratta was quite, so is the pepper chicken curry. The Kerala meals was quite good too (not amazing or mind-blowing, it's good.) The Aila fry (Indian mackerel) is also well made. Would give this place a 3.5 (out of 5) on my recommendation scale.
