Aligarh House Restaurant - HSR

Recently visited Aligarh House, HSR Layout and it turned out to be a delightful dining experience. We tried the Aligarh House Special Butter Chicken and the Aligarh House Special Chicken Shanghai, paired with both Rumali Roti and Khameeri Roti. The Butter Chicken was exceptionally rich and buttery, making it the standout dish of the meal. The Chicken Shanghai was equally flavorful and complemented the meal perfectly. The restaurant was quite crowded during our visit, and we had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. However, the food was definitely worth the wait. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend going in the late evening when it's usually a bit less crowded and more comfortable. Overall, a great place to enjoy authentic flavors and a satisfying meal. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for some delicious North Indian cuisine.

The food had a unique taste , something I was trying for the first time, and I really enjoyed that experience. The biryani portion for two people was absolutely worth it, both in terms of quantity and quality. The butter chicken didn’t quite work for me, but that might just be my personal preference since I’m not a big fan of buttery flavors. Overall, the rest of the food was really good.

Ambience is warm and welcoming. Service is poor and waiting time is high even on weekdays. Limited items available in the menu. Tried Ghee Tandoori chicken, paneer and chicken biriyani. Taste is average and staff did not serve the food. No dedicated Parking. Overall experience is not satisfied with food and service.

Khamiri roti with shadi korma (perfect combo, don’t skip this) Butter chicken malai special with rumali roti Mutton sheekh kebab Loved this place. Went in with zero expectations on a friend’s recommendation and it turned out to be amazing. The food is rich, comforting, and very well done. Khamiri roti with mutton was excellent, the butter chicken malai special was creamy and flavourful, and the mutton sheekh kebab was spot on. Portions are generous, especially the mutton pieces. Every bite felt worth it. The place has a nice North Indian, local feel but is clean and well maintained. Food was so good we didn’t even take photos. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I’d visit again.
