Maha Bazaar offers a wide selection of groceries but has higher prices and mixed service experiences.
The price is a bit high compared to the nearby stores. Maha Bazaar offers a wide range of grocery items, household essentials, and fresh produce, making it a convenient shopping spot for locals. The store is well-organized, and the shelves are typically stocked, so customers can usually find what they need without hassle. However, many customers have noted that the prices here are on the higher side compared to other nearby stores, which can be a drawback for budget-conscious shoppers. While the quality of products is generally good, the difference in pricing can be noticeable, especially for staple items. The staff is friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall shopping experience. For those looking for variety and quality, Maha Bazaar is a reliable choice, but it may not be the most economical option.
Billing staff was quite rude. Prices are on the higher side with no discounts, which is disappointing for such a big store. The entrance feels cluttered, and staff aren’t very customer-friendly. While fruits and vegetables are usually fresh, I’ve often noticed expired items on shelves, and it takes effort to find fresh ones. Overall, not a great experience.
Located near my house and required things are available, service is good as well. But there is no points concept or members concept like we redeem points in other stores. All products starting from groceries to stationery to pet foods to kitchen utensils are available here. Vegetable shop is just beside this supermarket Overall a decent supermarket in HSR sector 1.
Caution: Be vigilant when shopping here, as discounted products' prices are not always updated at the checkout. I was overcharged by Rs. 160 due to this issue, but fortunately, when i raised it, a supervisor intervened and corrected the bill (he paid Rs. 160 back to me in cash - overcharging Rs. 160 for a bill of around Rs. 1000 is too much). The POS has updated only with MRP and the casher never checks the discounts even if it is written boldly on the products (see the photos). This is my second experience with this problem, and I worry that others may be unknowingly paying full price for discounted items. On a positive note, the store offers a wide selection of products and has friendly floor staff. However, it's crucial to double-check your bill to avoid overpayment.
