Lexington Health Care Hospital

Very disappointing experience with Lexington Hospital at Rajajinagar/HSR. We had visited for treatment of a non-healing ulcer and while the treatment plan was explained, the entire documentation, insurance handling, coordination, and post-treatment process was extremely disorganized. There was absolutely no clarity on who was managing the case, who was responsible for insurance coordination, or whom we should contact for updates. Communication between departments and staff was very poor, and the patient was kept waiting for almost two days regarding insurance approval without any proper response or guidance. For a patient already going through severe pain, this kind of unorganized management adds unnecessary stress to the family. We were continuously following up ourselves without getting clear answers from the administration or support staff. What was concerning was that we also witnessed other patients and attendants frustrated and arguing inside the premises due to lack of coordination and response from the hospital staff. There are several other hospitals offering HBOT and wound-care treatments with much better coordination, communication, and patient handling. Looking back, it would have been better to explore those options instead of waiting endlessly here. At times, the attitude and response from the management made it feel as though they were doing a favor to patients rather than providing a professional healthcare service. Hospitals handling critical wound-care and ulcer cases should understand that patients and their families are already under emotional and physical stress. Basic communication, accountability, empathy, and organized coordination are the minimum expected from a healthcare institution. Unfortunately, our experience here was highly disappointing.
