Customers appreciate the quality of coffee and food, but some find prices high.
Recently visited The Craftery by Subko, Bengaluru, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The space is thoughtfully designed with a strong aesthetic — minimal, earthy, and creative, very much in line with Subko’s brand philosophy. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are comfortable and inviting, making it a great place to spend time whether you’re meeting friends, working, or just unwinding with a cup of coffee. The coffee and cacao-based drinks are excellent, showcasing Subko’s expertise in specialty brewing. You can clearly taste the quality of the beans and the care taken in preparation. The bakery items and desserts are well-crafted, fresh, and flavourful, with a good balance of richness and refinement rather than being overly sweet. Presentation is on point, and everything feels thoughtfully curated. Service was polite and efficient, and the staff were knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the overall experience. Despite being fairly busy, the place didn’t feel chaotic, and the atmosphere remained relaxed and premium. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly due to pricing and comparison with Subko’s Mumbai branches. While the quality is undoubtedly high, the prices here feel a bit steep for the portion sizes and overall value, especially when compared to the Mumbai outlets where I’ve had a slightly better, more consistent experience at similar or better value. The Bengaluru outlet is great, but it doesn’t quite match the overall balance of experience and pricing I’ve come to expect from Subko elsewhere. That said, this is still one of the better specialty cafés in the city and definitely worth a visit if you appreciate high-quality coffee, craft baking, and well-designed spaces. Would happily return, but hoping for better value going forward.
The Crafty by Subko is a solid spot for high-quality coffee and fresh eats. The vibe is great, and you can tell they take their baking seriously. • The Good: The Avocado Toast on fresh sourdough was a standout. I also ordered an Almond Milk Latte and a Cold Brew, both of which were excellent—definitely a win for coffee lovers. • The Food: The Chicken Sandwich was clearly fresh, though it was a bit too cheesy for my personal preference. • The Downsides: The wait time was quite long. Also, the seating could be more comfortable; many areas are hard surfaces without cushions, making it tough to lounge for long.
Food: Tried the Fudge Stuffed Crossiant, Harissa Grilled Chicken Sandwich, The Eggziki and The French One. All were absolutely delicious 😋. Very filling and satisfying. Maybe slightly expensive 1K plus for 2 people but the food is worth it. Service: Might be wait time depending on the day but usually get a table pretty quickly. Extremely responsive and courteous. I think manager also came to check about the food and feedback. Appreciate that Vibe: Great for dates and small group hangouts. I think there's card or board games on first floor. The layout of the area is eye pleasing and well managed. One of the most cleanly "Crafted" 😉 space.
The Craftery by Subko is a beautiful cafe tucked inside a charming Koramangala bungalow. It offers a unique and multi-level seating experience, with options both indoors and outside. I especially love the spacious outdoor area, shaded beautifully by a large, mature tree, making it a perfect spot to relax any time of the day. The interior is equally inviting, featuring large communal tables ideal for working or meeting new people. Beyond the delightful ambiance, the coffee and cocoa blends are exceptional, expertly crafted and deeply satisfying. Don't leave without trying one of their sourdough sandwiches—they are absolutely fantastic and make for a great meal. This place truly balances great design with quality food and drink. Highly recommended!
